What is Webster Technique?
-
Webster Technique is a specialized technique used for treating pregnant woman. Dr. Tessa is certified in this technique that focuses on balancing the pelvis. This allows for more room for the baby to grow and develop. This type of adjustment has been shown to reduce labor time, offer greater comfort to the mother throughout pregnancy and the birthing experience, encourages the correct fetal position through proper pelvic alignment, relieves neck, back and pelvic pain, and supports the natural labor and delivery.

Why should I see a chiropractor during and after my pregnancy?
-
First trimester benefits include ease of morning sickness, less lower back pain, less pelvic pain, etc.
-
Second trimester benefits include less lower back pain, less pelvic pain, less symphysis pubis pain, relief of sciatica, etc.
-
Third trimester benefits include improved pelvic function to assist in fetal positioning, lower back pain relief, relief from sleeping issues, headaches, digestion and elimination issues, etc.
-
Chiropractic adjustments can help shorten labor and make the birth process easier. If the mother’s spine and hips are in proper alignment, and if all the nerves to the muscles and organs in her body are free and healthy, labor and birth can progress more easily and possibly take less time than if there was an alignment issue. For moms desiring a drug-free natural birth, chiropractic care can help them accomplish that goal.
-
Post-natal benefits include relief from back pain, neck, shoulder and mid-back pain that may result from labor and delivery, breastfeeding and carrying the baby, etc.
